CURE Urology Centre is a dedicated outpatient clinic specializing in comprehensive urological care, combining expert consultation, in-house diagnostics, and patient-friendly services under one roof. Our mission is to provide advanced, ethical, and personalized treatment in a comfortable and accessible setting.
CURE Urology Centre is an outpatient facility and does not provide inpatient or emergency services. Patients requiring hospitalization or emergency care may access these at our consultant’s affiliated hospitals—SK Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, and SUT Hospital, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram—where comprehensive support is available. Our consultant will be glad to extend his expertise and care for you at these centers.

Our Preventive Urology Clinic focuses on the prevention of urinary stone disease (urolithiasis) and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Enrolment: requires a separate registration to ensure systematic follow-up and personalized preventive care.
CURE offers teleconsultation services in line with medical guidelines.
- Appointments must be scheduled in advance.
- Patients are requested to send investigation reports and treatment documents to the clinic prior to consultation.
- Prescriptions and follow-up instructions will be shared through email or WhatsApp for your convenience.
We collaborate with institutions, organizations, and community groups to spread knowledge on urological health.

Managing Director & Chief Consultant Urologist, CURE – Thiruvananthapuram
Dr. Vinod K. V. is a highly experienced and trusted Urologist with over 25 years of dedicated service in the field of Urology.
Dr Vinod K V MBBS, MS, MCh (Uro) did his MBBS, MS in General Surgery from Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. After post-graduation in General Surgery, he has worked for short periods in the Department of Urology of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi and Christian Medical College, Vellore. Later he did his superspeciality training for MCh in Urology from Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (2001-2004).
Following his super-specialty training, Dr. Vinod served for four years in the Department of Urology, Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, and later as Honorary visiting Consultant Urologist at the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Thiruvananthapuram. Over the years, he has been attached to several leading hospitals in the city, including his long-standing role as Honorary Consultant at SK Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram since 2009.
At present, he leads the Centre for Urological Research and Evaluation (CURE) as Managing Director and Consultant Urologist, offering comprehensive and advanced outpatient urology services.
Professional Recognition
Dr. Vinod is widely recognized for his leadership in the Urological community. He is the Treasurer of the Urological Society of India (USI) and President of the Urological Association of Kerala (UAK). He was Organizing Secretary of USICON 2020 (53rd Annual Conference of USI, Kochi) and has served on the USI Guidelines Panel for Male Infertility.
He has presented extensively in regional, national, and international forums, published in peer-reviewed journals, and contributed chapters in authoritative textbooks on Urology and Infertility. He is also an active researcher with the Global Andrology Forum.

Over the years, Dr. Vinod has performed a wide spectrum of complex urological surgeries with consistently high success rates. His areas of expertise include:
- Prostatic Diseases: TURP, Bipolar TURP, and Minimally Invasive Surgical Therapies (including Water Vapour Therapy, Urolift)
- Urinary Stones: Advanced endoscopic stone removal – RIRS (Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery), URSL (Ureteroscopic Lithotripsy), PCNL (Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy)
- Urological Cancers: Kidney, Bladder, and Prostate Cancer surgeries with modern techniques
- Urinary Incontinence: Bladder Augmentation, Botox injections, and reconstructive procedures
