Biography

Dr Vinod K V MBBS, MS, MCh (Uro) did his MBBS, MS in General Surgery and MCh in Urology from Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. After post-graduation in General Surgery, he has worked for short periods in the Department of Urology of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi and Christian Medical College, Vellore. Later he did his superspeciality training for MCh in Urology from Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (2001-2004).

After MCh (Uro) he had worked in the Department of Urology, Medical College Thiruvananthapuram for four years. Later he had worked as Honorary Consultant Urologist in Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. He had worked as Hon.Consultant in Urology in various hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram.

Presently he is the Managing Director and Consultant Urologist at Center for Urological Research and Evaluation (CURE), Thiruvananthapuram. Presently, he is working as visiting Consultant in SUT Hospital, Pattom, SP Medifort Hospital, Eanchakkal, SK Hospital, Edappazhinji, Thiruvananthapuram.

He is actively involved in the activities of Professional Organizations like Urological Society of India, Association of Southern Urologists and Urological Association of Kerala. He is an international Member of various associations like American Urological Association, European Association of Urology, Societe Internationale d’ Urologie, International Society of Sexual Medicine. He is presently Hon. Treasurer of Urological Society of India (USI) and President of Urological Association of Kerala. He was a member of Guidelines Panel for Male Infertility of USI. He was the organizing Secretary of USICON 2020, 53rd Annual Conference of Urological Society of India at Kochi.

He has presented many papers in regional and national conferences. He had contributed chapters in two books on Infertility and one chapter on the Textbook of Urology by USI.
